Over the past 2 weeks art students Angel and Sebastian created mixed media collages based on one of their favorite animals. Their artwork, among many others, will be featured at the Campbellsport High School Art Show on May 8th.
Its certification time with Mrs. Waldschmidt & Business Education. Congratulations to Hunter, Chris, Lance, & Jocelyn on earning their Print & Digital Media Publication using Adobe InDesign 2023 Certification. They are not only earning industry recognized certifications, but also high school & MPTC credit.
Donovan holds a marble used to test their 6th grade STEM roller coaster project with teammates Nolan and Corbin. Teams of students worked together to design, construct and problem solve their original concept highlighting Newton's 3 Laws of Physics. Sharing of idea's, teamwork and problem solving with those three principles in mind are emphasized.
Newtons 3 laws will be revisited later this semester as the students will be moving on to an engineering project today.
Congratulations to Katrina & Kelise for using their time wisely and building their skill sets to set themselves up for success by earning Microsoft Certifications with Mrs. Waldschmidt.
Students in Ms. Skelton's 7th grade Cougar Academy class focused on their word of the week, perseverance, by collaborating on team building challenges and riddles. They were rewarded for their hard work with a sweet treat of ice cream, which they made by hand by shaking in a bag!

Badger Boys/Badger Girls State is a weeklong government and leadership conference held in June for rising high school seniors. Its focus is providing young leaders across the state of Wisconsin with opportunities for leadership development, education, and personal growth. Students are able to run for various elected positions at the city, county, and state level to form a fully-functioning mock government, while learning about being a good citizen, networking, and making lasting memories.
7th graders in Mrs. Writt’s class recently traded in their school IDs for Secret Agent Badges to solve a European Union Escape Room as part of our Europe unit.

In Earth Science, students are learning about the makeup of the atmosphere. Today they demonstrated a method of collecting water from the atmosphere for homemade fog catchers. This method can be very beneficial in water-scarce communities across the world."
This week during their Deer Management unit, the Wildlife Management classes were honored to host the WI DNR Deer Program Specialist, Jeff Pritzl, as a guest speaker. He spoke on his time as an advocate for the state deer management program through hunting and communicating with hunters across the state, shared about his experiences with research on deer, and finally, on his general knowledge of deer and the impacts on the species here in WI. The students each got to ask a question and hear a response as well! Thank you to Jeff Pritzl for coming in for this opportunity during his busy “deer season”!
Bringing the Magic of Fractions and Data Analysis to Our Classroom! Our 6th-grade students transformed Fruit Loop data into fractions, decimals, and percentages. Plus, they delved into statistical analysis, exploring mean, median, mode, and range together.
Embracing Pi Day with a Pi Bee Challenge! Our 6th graders showcased their mathematical talent last week, with our champion reciting 62 digits of Pi! Congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm and dedication to the mathematical spirit!
The Campbellsport High School FBLA chapter hosted a "Prince and Princess" dance at Campbellsport Elementary, providing the elementary students an opportunity to have a fun night out with a special adult. Attendees enjoyed crafts, treats, photo ops, and of course, dancing! A great time was had by all kids, both big and little!
How does a lower pH in the ocean affect organisms with shells? Can we simulate when and how toxins could enter our food supply? Why is contact solution not just water and is salty? Just some of the questions we were looking to answer with our sea urchin/egg lab in our HS biology classes.
Congratulations to our Middle School Choir group who performed their first ever musical last night, Sleepy Hollow. It was very entertaining and the entire audience was blown away by the talent. Thank you Mr. Loescher for helping to grow and showcase the diverse talent we have here at Campbellsport
The Campbellsport Visual Arts Team competed in the Visual Arts Classic Regional competition on Friday March 8th in Milwaukee. The Campbellsport team brought home 3 team trophies; 2nd place in Critical Thinking, 1st place in Quiz Bowl, and 2nd place for their overall team score. This is the first time Campbellsport will be advancing to State as an entire team to compete in the Quiz Bowl!!
They also received 20 first place ribbons for individual entries that qualified for the State Competition in Madison on March 25th.
The middle school choirs had their dress rehearsal and t-shirt making party on Saturday. They have been working extremely hard to be ready for their performance of Sleepy Hollow, on Wednesday night (March 13) at 7 PM.
Our high school choir took their state contest music to the middle school and elementary school classrooms. They wanted to work on singing with an independent solo sound, balance, and share their music with younger students. In their small groups, they sang three pieces, "Wade in the Water," "Sure on this Shining Night," and a fun song of their choosing.
Earlier in the third quarter our middle school team sports classes participated in a flag football unit, and they did an incredible job! Mr. Merkes was so impressed that he took pictures of the teams. Shown here are some 6th graders that displayed amazing teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the games. Nice job 6th grade!"
CHS students competed at the All-Conference Academic Bowl on March 4. Students took tests of their knowledge in math, science, English, and social studies and current events.
