The Campbellsport FFA chapter recently attended the State FFA Convention, bringing home several awards and making significant contributions to the organization. Demonstrating their commitment to agricultural education and leadership, the chapter was recognized as a Silver Ranked Chapter in the National Chapter Awards. One of the achievements of the Campbellsport FFA was earning the P.R.I.D.E. award, which honors chapters that have made substantial efforts in increasing membership.
In addition to the chapter's overall achievements, individual members also shined. Emily Gatzke placed 4th overall in the Proficiency Award in Food Service, showcasing her skills and knowledge while working at 3 Sweets Bakery. Emily competed against over 25 other members to earn this award. She filled out a 20 page award application where she explained her growth in industry knowledge, work based skill and competencies, and growth in responsibilities.
Hadlee Rohlfs and McKinley Krueger served as delegates, actively participating in committees to discuss potential changes in the organization and playing a vital role in electing new state officers. Their involvement ensures that the voices of their peers are heard and that the future of the organization is shaped by active and engaged members.
Further highlighting the chapter's diverse talents, Jon Thelen was selected to join the State FFA Choir. Jon's musical talent was showcased as he not only participated in the choir but also performed a solo, captivating the audience with his performance.
Adding to the chapter’s impressive list of achievements, seven members of the Campbellsport FFA earned their State FFA Degree. Those individuals were Kaydence Hodorff, Emily Gatzke, Paige Jordan, Jon Thelen, Hunter Schultz, Austin Flasch, and Jacob Jordan. This degree is one of the highest honors the state association can bestow upon its members, requiring a high level of commitment and accomplishment in agricultural education, leadership, and community service.
