Mr. Buechel and the Campbellsport Elementary School would like to send a huge thank you to our CES PTO. Through their generous donations, the Campbellsport Elementary School was able to add a rock wall in the gymnasium for our students. The new traverse rock wall is a great addition to our school, it allows students to climb horizontally while keeping them only 3 feet off the ground. Rock walls have many physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional, and communication benefits. It is a full body exercise improving overall fitness, coordination, and balance, while simultaneously improving problem solving skills. Students can build confidence through different climbing challenges and activities while staying safe in a new learning environment. The rock wall is not only a great addition to the physical education department but is a benefit to the entire school. The rock wall can be used by other teachers for building teamwork and cross curricular learning. It can also be a great tool for students with certain injuries and students with special needs. Mr. Buechel would like to invite the community to see our new addition on March 20th from 4:30-6:30 during our Celebrate CES night. Once again thank you to our PTO for making this possible.
